Anna de Bakker

Anna de Bakker, a recipient of a Mellon Graduate Fellowship, is a Ph.D. candidate in Medieval Studies. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Ms. de Bakker received her B.A. from Harvard and her M.A. from the Yale Divinity School. Her interests span the interdisciplinary study of history, theology, and music of the medieval world, particularly that of medieval Holland. Ms. de Bakker is known for her outstanding musical talents, as she sings in several choirs and plays the piano and cello, as well as her magnificent command of languages, including: Dutch, French, German, and Latin, and one to two years’ experience with Spanish, Czech, Attic Greek, and Biblical Hebrew.
