Belén Vicéns-Sáiz
Belén Vicéns-Sáiz, a recipient of a Mellon summer stipend, is a Ph.D. candidate in History. Her research interests include: late Medieval Iberia; relations between Muslims and Christians; Mediterranean studies; and legal and social history. Her dissertation, "The Vidal Mayor and the Legal Culture of Late Medieval Aragon" was directed by the late Olivia Remie Constable. Belén earned her M.A. in History from the University of Notre Dame, her M.A. in Islamic Studies from University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.A. from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
