Pietro Bocchia
Pietro Bocchia, a recipient of a Mellon summer stipend, is a Ph.D. candidate in the Program of Literature. He graduated from University of Milan with a master’s degree in Italian and Romance Philology, Literature and Linguistics in 2009 (Thesis title: “La semantica della guerra nell Inferno di Dante: la pugna spiritualis nei canti II e IX”). He obtained his Italian Ph.D. in History of Italian Language and Literature at the State University of Milan the last spring (Dissertation Title: “La lotta interiore del Petrarca: un percorso critico tra Familiares, Secretum, Canzoniere e Trionfi”). He is currently working on turning his dissertation that will be on Pier Paolo Pasolini.
