Karrie Fuller

Karrie Fuller, a recipient of a Mellon summer stipend, is a Ph.D. candidate in English. Her research interests include Old and Middle English, manuscript studies, reception theory, Piers Plowman, and travel narratives. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Ms. Fuller earned her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley and her M.A. from San Diego State University. Karrie is currently working on her dissertation titled "Reading Beyond the Borders: Visions of Christendom and the Shared Reception of Piers Plowman and The Book of Sir John Mandeville" under the direction of Kathryn Kerby-Fulton. She has taught several courses in rhetoric and writing as well as introductory literature courses, including, most recently, a 20000 level course title "The Hero's Journey." She recently served on the Graduate Student Committee for the Medieval Academy of America and is now a representative for Notre Dame in the Indiana Medieval Graduate Student Consortium.
