Leanne MacDonald
Leanne MacDonald, a recipient of a Mellon Graduate Fellowship, is a Ph.D. candidate in English, specializing in Middle English literature. She comes to Notre Dame from British Columbia, where she graduated with a BA in English from Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include women religious in the late Middle Ages, as well as the poetry of the alliterative revival. Her current project is an exploration of female monasticism as it is reflected, distorted, and even transformed through the lens of popular Middle English writing.
